The Soundkeeper series is a little bit of wonder and mystery as well as an adventure for me. Volume 1 is almost purely instrumental, and listens the best when you are about to drift off into a peaceful slumber or if you are standing on the shore, watching the waves speak of the movement and mystery of the sea.

There are no rules when making songs for The Soundkeeper, as I am just as anxious to see how something turns out as anyone. I try and let no rules of music and song structure and lyrics and bridges and verse/chorus alternations get in the way of The Soundkeeper. Instead I set it loose in the wild air of a flowing mind and see what becomes of it when it shows its face again on an audio track.

The Soundkeeper is a side project of mine where I release a little ambient and offbeat inspiration that doesn't find a place in my other music projects. It is a wild creature, but I am learning more about it and I may just sit back and watch it run free.
